Len and Marty Brutocao are the dad and mom at family-owned and operated Brutocao Vineyards and Cellars in Mendocino County, one of California's premier wine regions. Marty's father, Irv Bliss, began farming the property in the mid-1940s and planted vineyards soon thereafter. When Marty and Len married they combined the Bliss farming tradition with Len’s Italian heritage.

 
Many years ago, Len and Marty realized that people wanted to know more about wine than could be read in wine columns or books. They wanted wine to be approachable and for people to feel the passion and wonder of grape growing and winemaking by experiencing it in person. So they ushered visitors out of the tasting room and into the vineyards to see it all first-hand. The idea for Personal Vineyards at Brutocao was born.
